![]() A specific utility it provides is simply not worth putting effort into, because a base penetration percentage is already quite generous (+500%), and on harder difficulties enemies move very fast, making lining them up quite hard. The same principle applies to Armor Piercing Shot too. Increased damage means less shots to kill and this could be a real difference between life and death. Sure, you can take more hits from enemies, but 50 HP on harder difficulties won't make a difference, but the damage will, and that's why Salvo is a better pick. The bonus health Fortitude provides doesn't really help you survive that much. However, other skills are quite obvious no-brain choices, if you ask me. As I already said choosing between High Cap Mags and Tactical Reload is a matter of preference and it purely depends on what shotguns do you like more. I think I should elaborate some skill choices and why these two builds are quite common on harder difficulties. Tactical Reload: SG-500, Buckshot(s), Doomstick, Boomstick, M4, Dragon's Breath (aka Trenchgun).High Capacity Mags fit: HZ12, Frost Fang, AA12, VLAD Nailgun, HMTech-301, Blunderbuss, FAMAS.Support has a large variety of shotguns, each good in its own way, so I'd like to divide them on two categories related to a choice between first two skills. That way your primary goal in a team would be taking down large zeds (or assisting dedicated large zed hunters such as Sharpshooter or Gunslinger) rather than controlling trash enemies. RRRRR → On the other hand, Tactical Reload significantly increases effectiveness of certain weapons like Doomstick, Boomstick, M4, since these shotguns often suffer from slow, painful reloading and don't synergize well with High Capacity Mags build.LRRRR → In general this build provides better crowd control because of increased magazine capacity, but sometimes might struggle with big squads consisting of multiple large zeds, attacking you at the same time.So your primary builds for the Support gonna be: These two skills are almost equally good, but some shotguns actually work better with the former and others with the latter. Firstly, I should note that Support doesn't really possess a variable skill tree, which results in choosing High Capacity Mags or Tactical Reload most of the time. On top of your choice I would also recommend some builds and loadouts for this perk. ![]() ![]() In general, this loadout is nice, works well in public environment. AA12 and Doomstick are quite reliable at handling almost all types of zeds except for Fleshpounds squads and Scrake trains, because your shotgun will most probably penetrate through your first target and may accidentally rage others behind one, so you gotta be careful. It's good that you've already figured out one of the best loadouts for the Support. ![]()
